UBP 2012--Let's Party

Ultimate Blog Party 2012
Hello and welcome! Here's what's going on in my world. T {my 3 year old daughter} vomited all over her bed at midnight last night. We threw her in the bath, gave her a Zofran and put her in our bed where she puked about 8 more times before 4:30 am. By the grace of God, we were able to get some sleep in between. (Hubby moved to the couch, but returned each time he heard retching--good man!) I'm happy to report she's now keeping down fluids and some bland food and we saw the nurse practitioner this morning who confirmed it's a stomach bug and ruled out strep and a UTI. Now my son has a fever and we're counting down till he starts puking.

Typical, am I right? This blog is about my frazzled life with two kids. L is my son--he'll be seven (gasp!) this summer and T as I mentioned is my 3 year old girl. I am a 37 years old SAHM {if you want to check out some "how did I get here" posts, you should read here and here.} I've been married to my awesome husband for 13 years. We live in Phoenix. T is in preschool, L is in kindergarten. They both go to speech therapy twice a week although L is about to graduate, hooray. L has food allergies to wheat, corn, peaches and pineapple, though he used to be allergic to everything, so it's not so bad. Technically, he has a chronic illness called Eosinophilic Esophagitis {check out the "About Eosinophilic Esophagitis" tab at the top of my blog}--it's been a long road but he is doing super awesome and we just avoid those trigger foods.

I like to do a "week in review" post on Fridays (or whenever) where I include what I'm reading and watching. Once upon a time, I thought I'd like to be a movie reviewer but it turns out I'm lousy at writing reviews--so I just write a few sentences about a show or a book and whether I recommend it or not. Nothing fancy.

My new thing is style, as in I'm trying to find some. I've started following style/daily outfit blogs so occasionally I'll post pics of my outfits {here's one such post}. This summer I will be attempting to spice up my regular shorts and t-shirt outfits with necklaces and cute shoes.

Okay, now I'm just rambling {that happens a lot}. PLEASE leave me a comment letting me know you were here and I'll return the visit. And feel free to click around here and check things out. Happy Partying!

Thanks for stopping by!!!Easter morning

Ultimate Blog Party 2011--Welcome!!!

Ultimate Blog Party 2011 I am so super excited to be joining in the Ultimate Blog Party {hosted by 5 Minutes for Mom} for the second year in a row! WELCOME to Life with L & T, my little corner of the blogosphere, thanks so much for stopping by! I am "Eos Mom," so named because my son has Eosinophilic Esophagitis (basically food allergies) and Life with L&T is named for my kids. L is my 5-year-old son. He is super fantastic, but never listens to anything I say. T is my 2-year-old daughter. She is a ton of fun but definitely experiencing the Terrible Twos. She can throw a killer tantrum!
{My kids pouring weeds on their heads. Your kids do that too, right?}

I'm an average mom and I blog about everyday things:

-books I'm reading and movies I've seen

-my attempts at organizing and time-management

-sharing memories

-how we celebrate holidays

-Top Ten Tuesday, Works for me Wednesday, Things I Love Thursday, Five Question Friday

-the good, the bad and the ugly of life as an overwhelmed {What the heck am I doing?!} mom of 2

I blog for the fun of it and to join the conversation. I don't need 1000 followers (though that would ROCK), but I'd love to be part of a community of smaller bloggers who follow and support each other. So here are some facts about me--tell me in the comments what we have in common (or how we are different) so we can get to know each other.

-I've been married for 12 years to my law school sweetheart.

-I'm a SAHM.

-I love Target, Kohls, Kmart, Dollar Tree and bargains.

-I am not crafty, but wish I were.

-I am unable to either wink or whistle. :-(

-I am addicted to tv, though these days I'm behind on even my favorite shows.

-I love chick flicks and Sandra Bullock.

-L is allergic to corn, wheat, pineapple and peaches, and we avoid peanuts, just in case. So we do some gluten-free cooking.

-Speaking of, I hate to cook! But I do it anyway, cuz it's part of my job.

-I like to bake. Nothing fancy, though, I love to jazz up boxed mixes.

-I am addicted to chapstick, regular Coca-Cola, and reading mommy blogs. ;-)

-I'm a night owl. It pains me to go to bed before 11 most nights (I aspire to 10:30) but if I don't, oh those mornings are painful!

-{And also I am so not tech-savvy, I have tried 10 times to take out all these extra darn spaces to no avail. Please pardon my ugly. ;-) }

Okay, enough about me, go get back to the party. But before you go, leave me a comment and I promise I'll return your visit. Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy UBP!!!

Ultimate Blog Party--Welcome!!!

I'm so excited about the Ultimate Blog Party going on at 5 Minutes for Mom. I've already been visiting other blogs so I have GOT to get my own post going!!! Last year I didn't participate in the UBP (other than as a reader) but I promised myself I'd participate the next time, i.e. NOW. So here I am. Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit!!! The best way to navigate my little corner of blogland is with my tags on the left sidebar--you can see I've done a little organizing, posted a few recipes, and I frequently share what I love in my "tilt" posts.
-
The basics: I'm a stay-at-home-mom of two kids. My son "L" will be 5 in June. My daughter "T" is 18 months old. We live in Phoenix, AZ.
-
Gosh, it's hard to introduce myself in one post. I'm scatterbrained and disorganized but I love my kids; being a SAHM is the best job I've ever had, though most days I feel like I'm failing; I'm a good friend, a good listener, but I've lived around the country and now my closest friends are far away; I love to read, watch tv and movies, and play on the internet, but sometimes I fall into the abyss and leave the tv to "babysit" my kids. In other words, I'm not perfect, but I'm trying to be better.
-
Random stuff about me:
*I love Jane Austen books and movies.
*I'm currently reading this book.
*My favorite tv shows are Glee and Project Runway.
*My favorite food is pizza.
*My biggest celebrity crush is Johnny Depp.
-
Otherwise, I just love reading mommy blogs (and organizing blogs, and DIY blogs, and decor blogs.......) and I have this here little work-in-progress blog of mine to join the conversation. Feel free to stay and poke around a bit; please leave me a comment so I'll know you were here, I promise I'll visit you in return. :-) Thanks again for coming. Happy Partying!
